Ceramic tint is about heat, not just darkness.
Standard dyed film darkens the glass. Ceramic film is made to block more of the sun's heat, so the cabin stays cooler even at a lighter shade.
We talk through heat, glare and how dark you want it before anything goes on the glass. California limits how dark the front side windows can be, and we'll tell you where that line is.

Ceramic vs regular tint.
Both darken the glass and cut glare. Ceramic costs more because it keeps out more heat at the same shade, and it has no metal in it, so it won't interfere with your phone or GPS. If heat is the main problem, ceramic is usually the one. If it's mainly looks or privacy, carbon film may be enough. We'll tell you which.

01How much does ceramic window tint cost?
Every tint job is quoted, because the price depends on the vehicle, how many windows and whether old tint has to come off. Send your year, make and model and which windows you want, and the shop quotes it.
02Is ceramic tint worth it in San Diego?
If the heat bothers you, usually yes. Ceramic film keeps out more heat than standard tint at the same shade, which matters on afternoon drives and in a parked car.
03How dark can I go in California?
California limits how dark the front side windows and windshield can be. The rear windows have more room. Tell us what you want and we'll explain what's allowed on your car before we start.
04Can you remove my old tint first?
Yes. Purple, peeling or bubbling tint comes off before the new film goes on. Mention it in your request so it's in the quote.
05Is nano ceramic tint different from ceramic tint?
It's mostly a name. Nano ceramic film uses very small ceramic particles, which is how ceramic tint works in general. Ask us which film we'd put on your car and why.
